Laura Smyth is a relative newcomer to the comedy circuit, starting in spring 2019. She has made an impact on the circuit, winning The Funny Women Awards in 2019, signing with a top agent, performing at clubs across the country, corporate hosting, and already making her TV debut.
She is a native East Londoner and mother of three and her comedy is autobiographical and observational as she explores her place in the stupid world.
Described as a “blunt speaking East Londoner with a real force-of-nature personality”, her comedy involves “brutally honest ribbing of her kids, her friends and herself, largely intolerant of niceties and affectations.” (Steve Bennett for Chortle Magazine).
“She has only been doing comedy for a few months but sounds as if she has been doing it all her life.” Bruce Dessar
“A naturally funny woman,” Jo Brand
“The Marvellous Laura Smyth.” Jonathan Ross
“Yes babe, you tell me what to say, and you can use it as a quote.” Jayde Adams
